Adam Zoromski is our current pro player. Originally from Belebey, Russia, Adam’s family immigrated to Toronto, Canada at the age of 16. He excelled at school and graduated two years ago from University with a degree in Accounting. Adam is currently 25 and has been playing professional poker full time for two years.
He mainly plays NL holdem cash games on Party, but occasionally he can be found playing Full Tilt and Cake poker. Adam started with a 200 dollar bankroll 4 years ago playing low stake Sit N’ Go tournaments. It wasn’t all easy, and he went broke and lost the full 200, but since learned his mistakes, and the importance of bankroll management. He can now be found playing anything from 200NL-2000NL, and built his bankroll to over 200,000. Adam isn’t a well known high stakes player, but he excels greatly in the mid stakes games, and I’m sure he would as well if he had the bankroll to play above 2k NL.
Recently, Adam cashed out a large portion of his bankroll to buy a house well the Market was down. He is now in the process of rebuilding his bankroll. Last month, September 2009, he focused on playing only 200NL games and he had a record month for those stakes. The graph below is his winnings from September. That coupled with the VIP Party Points he received from playing made Sept a 22,000 month. Pretty impressive considering that is low stakes!
Us here at Head Hurts poker are lucky because well Adam goes through the stages of rebuilding his bankroll he has agreed to stick around and answer exclusively for new signups. I hope you all take advantage of this offer!
I asked Adam to give some tips to our readers on getting started with online poker, this was his reply:
“When you first start playing poker you need to keep your goals set straight, don’t get over excited or over stressed. I would advise you to start with playing small tournaments like 10 person Sit N’ Go tournaments. They have lots of them running all the time on Party poker and other sites. You can really get a lot of real practice at those games without risking much of your bankroll. Which I assume is small for a starting player! After this building stage you need to think logically about the hands you play and was to extract maximum profit from your opponents well minimizing loses to them. Once you feel comfortable with the strategy, and have studied the game lots move into playing 25 or 50NL… From there you should be able to build your game up and make some real money! If you have any questions, send them to me, and I will try to answer them as honestly and accurately as I can. Thanks for joining Head Hurts Poker!!”
